Theme: Building Together as Partners in Christ

PLEASE NOTE: We are having ONE joint service at 9:40am this Sunday.

Sound Notes: Greg Alexander will be preaching. Is there a third remote mic or does one of us need to switch out with him?  We will need to switch out.  We also have a cordless that one of you could use if you wish.

NOTE:  Kendall and I are going to work on the projector on Wednesday evening--if we can not get it to work, we will need to print the call to worship, prayer, etc on something.  Not sure people will want to face the back wall again.

God of each new day:
We come in worship
seeking again to hear the good news

May that love permeate every aspect of our living.
Grant that our worship may renew us, and that our lives may participate in the renewal of your world.
We ask this as your people,
and because you are our God.
Hear us now as we continue to pray, using the prayer Jesus taught his disciple:

Theme: All Saints Day

Sound Notes:

 Lisa CR will be out at retreat today. LCR

Mark will do both services. LCR

Please set up an extra mic on a stand by the side table where the birdhouses were last week for the Roll Call of the Saints. MCR

Reference Scriptures:

Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hymn Suggestions:

Mark is thinking Easter-resurrection type stuff as well as All Saints. MCR

Also, for the first service, would Janie please play "This Little Light of Mine" softly while the Roll Call of Saints is going on and people are reading the names? During the second service, we would like to use "Give Me the Roses, While I Live" played by a guitarist, if possible. MCR

 Prayer Hymn: CH # 638 "In the Bulb There is a Flower"                            MCR

Sound Notes:

Reference Scriptures: Proverbs 16:26 & Psalm 23

Proverbs 16: 26
  The appetite of laborers works for them;
    their hunger drives them on.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
2     He makes me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside still waters;[a]
3     he restores my soul.[b]
He leads me in right paths[c]
    for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley,[d]
    I fear no evil;
for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff—
    they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
6 Surely[e] goodness and mercy[f] shall follow me

and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
    my whole life long.[g]
