Theme: Renewed by Hope
Advent Worship Theme: Renewed, gifted and fulfilled by the full cup of God's promise in Christ.
Sound Notes:
Reference Scriptures:
Jeremiah 33:14-16
The days are surely coming, says the LORD, when I will fulfill the promise I made to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.
In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this is the name by which it will be called: "The LORD is our righteousness."
Call To Worship:
Reader 1: Christians all, your Lord is coming,
Reader 2: Drawing near in holy birth.
People: Ring the bells and sound the trumpets,
Let your music fill the earth.
Reader 1: Dance and move to show God's glory;
Reader 2: Kneel and pause to hear God's word.
People: Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Rise and let your songs be heard!
Invocation:
Blessed are you, Lord our God;
You come and redeem your people.
You set the power of salvation in the center of our lives.
Just as you promised long ago through your prophets, you bring
Deliverance from hate, mercy for the fallen, a clean rescue from lives of despair.
We can worship you in this sanctuary, secure in your love.
And you hear us as we pray, Our Father...
Blessed are you, Lord our God;
