November 8, 2015 ORDER

THEME: PROVIDENCE has a place in our hearts

Scripture:  Revelations 21:1-6, 22:1-6

8:30 AM Order of Service Welcome and Announcements

Call to Worship:

Leader: We’ve come to worship God,

People: who makes streams flow from rock,

and turns the parched earth into springs of water,

Leader: God sends the rain from heaven

and makes the wilderness blossom and flourish.

People: As the deer thirsts for flowing streams,

so we thirst for You, O God.

Leader: Come, let’s worship our life-giving God,

People: For God pours out living water on all our thirst!

Hymn of Praise:  CH #720 "O Beautiful for Spacious Skies"

Lighting of the Candles
Children are welcome to come forward.
Leader:  In the beginning, God said,
People: 'Let there be light' and there was light!
Leader: We light these candles today,
People: Because God is with us in this time and in this place!

Invocation & Lord's Prayer

Eternal God, our Alpha and Omega,

our beginning and our end,

we have gathered in this time and at this place to worship You.

In Your time, You created all things,

and wove into their fabric a yearning for fulfillment in You.

It is this yearning within us which has pulled us here this morning.

Take these moments, O Lord of time and space,

and complete them in us, through Your Holy Spirit,

as we follow your example in prayer, Our Father...
